KRAFTWERK

Film and CG projections, plus minimalist lighting, provided an interesting complement to the uber-synth music. Unfortunately my digital camera offers no manual settings, and the automatic exposure yielded significant blur on every shot. Regardless these pics give a decent idea of the larger visual aspect, especially in the absence of any significant stage action: for over two hours, four middle-aged guys stand practically still behind their laptop computers and a few manual controls or triggers. I could occasionally discern a couple of the guys slightly bobbing their heads or tapping their feet just a little. Wild, wild, wild.

Autobahn video (above) requires QuickTime. It may need a couple of minutes to load.
Boring tech summary: No, you can't get any closer in on this image.

The robots' "performance" gave the band time to switch into the day-glo suits for the final 15-20 minutes.
